Belgium has expressed readiness to send its troops to Ukraine as part of a peacekeeping mission after the end of the war with Russia.
This was announced by Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevaud at a press conference following a meeting with ministers from the Benelux countries in Odesa.
According to him, when a decision is made to cease fire in Ukraine, Belgium is prepared to participate in international forces with the appropriate international mandate.
"Then I will discuss this with the government and, in particular, with my colleague, the Minister of Defence, to determine what specific military contribution we can provide. But we are ready to join such peacekeeping forces when it becomes necessary," Prevaud noted.
