
The First Corps of the National Guard "Azov" documented the death of a person in civilian clothing, likely from a shot by a Russian soldier. This occurred in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region.
The 1st NGM Corps "Azov" reported on Facebook on August 30.
"On August 28, in one of the settlements of the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region, during aerial reconnaissance, Ukrainian military recorded an occupant shooting an elderly man in his yard. It is clearly visible that the person was in civilian clothing and unarmed. This was done by a Russian serviceman of the 95th Separate Rifle Regiment of the 5th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," — stated in the corps’ publication.
The press service of the 1st Corps of the National Guard "Azov" stated that this is a direct violation of the Geneva Convention IV on the protection of civilians.
