Situation on the front line: Ukrainian defenders repelled 172 attacks by Russia

The 1287th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding back the pressure of the occupiers. In total, 172 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 64 airstrikes, dropping 120 guided bombs. In addition, they conducted 4,918 shelling attacks, including 77 from multiple rocket launch systems, and deployed 5,462 kamikaze drones for strikes.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, in the areas of the settlements of Khliborob in Sumy Oblast; Bilohirya and Novoselivka in Zaporizhzhya region.

In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 enemy attacks. Over the past day, the enemy conducted 8 airstrikes, dropping a total of 20 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 204 shelling attacks, including three from multiple rocket launch systems.

In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, our troops stopped seven enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Hlyboke, Vovchansk, and towards Nova Kruhlakivka and Novoplatonivka.

In the Kupyansk direction, 14 enemy attacks took place yesterday. Our defenders repelled assault actions by the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and Stepova Novoselivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 20 times, attempting to penetrate our defenses in the areas of the settlements of Kolodyazi, Zarichne, and towards the settlements of Karpivka, Shandryholove, Yampil, Dronivka, and Serebryanka.

In the Siversk direction, our soldiers successfully stopped 11 enemy attacks near Hryhorivka and in the direction of Serebryanka and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked seven times in the area of Chasiv Yar and towards the settlements of Minkivka, Mykolaivka, and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the area of Shcherbynivka and towards Pleshchiivka, Nelipivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 46 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Zapovidne, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne, and in the directions of Balahan, Promin, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, and Pokrovsk.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy carried out 24 attacks yesterday in the areas of the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Tolstoy, Piddubne, Myrne, Perebudova, Maliivka, Shevchenko, and in the direction of the settlements of Filiya, Ivanivka, Iskra, Oleksandrohrad, Novoselivka, and Komyshuvakha.

No combat engagements were recorded in the Hulyaipole direction.

The enemy units attacked once in the Orikhiv direction – the occupiers attempted to advance towards the settlement of Plavni.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, our defenders successfully stopped three enemy attacks.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defence Forces struck an area of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as three enemy artillery systems.
