The preventive measure for Kyiv City Council deputy Marchenko has been extended in the Komarnytskyi case
The High Anti-Corruption Court extended until October 13 the period of obligations imposed on Kyiv City Council deputy Olena Marchenko. NABU and SAPO suspect her of being involved in the case of businessman Denys Komarnytskyi.
Such a decision was made by the HACC on August 13, reports "Slovo i Dilo".
As is known, the anti-corruption court took Marchenko into custody with an alternative bail of 50 million UAH. This amount was paid, and she was released from the detention center. The following obligations were imposed on the suspect: to appear at the first summons; not to leave the borders of Ukraine without permission; to report any change of residence and/or work; to surrender her international passports for safekeeping and to refrain from communicating with certain individuals.
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office requested to extend these obligations for another two months.
"Extend the period of obligations imposed on the suspect (Marchenko - ed.) for two months based on part 5, article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Determine the period of obligations imposed by the court on the suspect to be until October 13, 2025, within the period of the pre-trial investigation for criminal proceedings," the decision states.
