The occupiers aim to capture Pokrovsk by the end of the fall, — political scientist and officer of the AFU
The situation around Pokrovsk remains extremely tense. Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are attempting to break through the city’s defences, using, among other things, the sewage system.
Political analyst and Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Andriy Tkachuk emphasized on the air of Channel 24 that by the end of 2025, the main operational goal of the Russians is to penetrate Pokrovsk.
"The occupiers are employing a variety of tactical methods to achieve success in the direction of Pokrovsk. They are trying to advance on the city from four sides: Dobropillya, Novoekonomichne - Myrnohrad, Selydove - Shevchenkove, Udachne. All of this is aimed at seizing positions and establishing fire control over the Pavlohrad - Pokrovsk highway. The enemy is pulling up reserves and will continue to intensify pressure on Pokrovsk," he reported.
According to Tkachuk, the Russians aim to occupy the city by the end of autumn.
"While the trees still have green leaves, the occupiers can hide in plantations and forest belts. When the leaves fall, all Russians can be easily detected and destroyed by Ukrainian drones," explained the officer.
Besides Pokrovsk, the enemy is also attempting to advance on other large cities, aiming to achieve tactical successes by the end of autumn.
