The AFU confirmed the strikes on the Ryazan Oil Refinery and other Russian facilities
On the night of September 5, 2025, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, in cooperation with other parts of the Defence Forces, struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, a hit was recorded on the ELOU-AVT-6 primary oil processing unit, which has an estimated capacity of 6 million tons of oil per year.
The Ryazan Oil Refinery, with a design capacity of 17.1 million tons of oil per year, is among the four largest refineries in Russia. It produces gasoline of various grades, diesel, jet fuel, liquefied gases, and other oil products. The facility is involved in providing for the Russian occupying army.
Additionally, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted fire damage on the positions of two S-400 "Triumph" missile divisions in the Kaluga region of Russia. According to preliminary data, a command and control vehicle and a control center were hit.
Moreover, units of the Security Service of Ukraine successfully attacked a storage of engineering munitions and UAVs of the Russian troops in the area of the temporarily occupied city of Luhansk. The result was a secondary detonation at the facility followed by a fire.
The Defence Forces continue to take all measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers, the supply of fuels and lubricants, and munitions to the invading army, and to force Russia to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine.
