The Kremlin is preparing mobilization and an army modernization program until 2037, — Budanov

In Russia, mobilization may be conducted, and the country is preparing for a large-scale rearmament, the cost of which is estimated at a trillion dollars.

This was reported by the head of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov.

In his opinion, the Russian authorities may announce a new wave of mobilization, although they are currently trying to avoid it, as it would cause internal problems in the country.

Nevertheless, according to Budanov, if necessary, the Kremlin will initiate mobilization, and even the growing negative sentiments in Russian society will not be able to prevent its implementation or stop Russia’s military machine.

«Mobilization will allow Russians to throw even more people into attacks. And this poses a threat to us», - Budanov noted.

In addition, according to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Russia is developing a large-scale rearmament program.

«This is, in essence, the rearmament of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2037. The main focus is on 2030. This is the largest program since the 1980s, even surpassing the last years of the Soviet Union’s existence. At the moment, its cost is estimated at about $1.2 trillion exclusively for rearmament. This does not include the budget of the Ministry of Defense and is directed solely at modernization and rearmament programs. These are serious programs with demonstrative means», - Budanov stated.
