SAPO is challenging the assets of the MIA administrator Popovych valued at over 8 million hryvnias
The SAPO seeks to confiscate the property of Ivan Popovych — the administrator of service center No. 2143 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tyachiv, Zakarpattia.
Popovich registered the assets in his name, his wife’s, and his daughter’s. Moreover, the acquisition of one of the vehicles, registered to his daughter, occurred at a price 15 times lower than the market rate.
The lawsuit requests to recognize the following assets as unjustified: 5 apartments; 4 parking spaces; vehicles: BMW 730D from 2018, MERCEDES-BENZ E 200 (2013), and AUDI A8 (2018). The total value of the assets is over 8.6 million UAH.
After the commencement of evidence collection regarding the unjustification of the assets, part of the property was re-registered to close individuals. An analysis of the financial status of the official and his family members revealed the impossibility of acquiring these objects using legal income.
Currently, the following objects have been arrested to secure the lawsuit: 4 parking spaces, a hotel-restaurant complex with an area of 2043.2 square meters in the settlement of Teresva, and a land plot of 0.6 hectares near the village of Bushtyno.
