A 35-year-old resident of Kyiv organized the illegal transfer of military conscripts through Zakarpattia for $12,000.

This was reported by law enforcement officials.

He found clients and arranged for illegal border crossing into EU countries outside of checkpoints. The men were supposed to arrive by train in Zakarpattia, and then accomplices transported them in small groups.

The guides of the scheme are currently being identified by investigators. The organizer himself was detained while receiving money from a conscript. He faces up to 9 years in prison.
