Russia captured Hryhorivka, AFU cleared Pankivka – DeepState

The Russian army has captured Hryhorivka on the Lyman direction, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted a clearing operation in Pankivka on the Dobropillya direction.

There are also reports of Russian troop advances near Yampil (Lyman direction), near Orikhove (on the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions), in Novoivanivka in the Zaporizhzhya region, and in Berezovo in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

A difficult situation in the Yampil area is also reported by a Ukrainian soldier with the call sign «Muchnyi».

According to him, the Russian army has begun to actively press on Yampil: after intense artillery preparation, it breached the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and «is attempting to establish a foothold in the northeastern part of the settlement».

The Russians’ goal is to push Ukrainian units into the center and southwestern part of the town in order to fully take control of it, adds «Muchnyi».

The situation around Yampil could have serious consequences, as this settlement protects the access to the Lyman-Siversk line. If the enemy manages to establish a foothold on the southern outskirts and gain control over the town, they will be able to occupy advantageous positions for a further strike on Siversk.

«Moreover, from Yampil, there is an opportunity to cut off or at least keep under constant fire control the main supply routes from the Slovyansk and Kramatorsk area towards Siversk. Thus, the fall of this town could mark the beginning of direct battles for Siversk, and right now, a tense confrontation is ongoing to hold this strategic point», – wrote Muchnyi.
