Tetyana Chornovol will replace Andriy Parubiy in the Verkhovna Rada

The Central Election Commission (CEC) recognized Tetyana Chornovol as an elected Member of Parliament of Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada apparatus confirmed the early termination of the powers of Member of Parliament Andriy Parubiy, who was killed in Lviv on August 30.

This is stated on the CEC website.

The CEC recognized Tetyana Chornovol as a Member of Parliament from the list of the "European Solidarity" party. She was 27th on the party’s list.

Tetyana Chornovol is a Ukrainian journalist and public figure. She was a member of the "People’s Front" political party faction, as well as the Committee on National Security and Defence of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the 8th convocation.

Since February 24, 2022, Tetyana Chornovol joined the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians and participated in combat operations during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
