Shmyhal: More than 25 foreign companies plan to produce weapons in Ukraine

Currently, 25 foreign companies are at various stages of localizing the production of their products in Ukraine.

This is reported by the Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal.

According to the minister, each manufacturer is actively cooperating with the Ukrainian government. «We offer partners various collaboration models, including the «Danish model», Build with Ukraine/Build in Ukraine. The priority is for the main part of the company’s products to serve the needs of the Ukrainian army», – he explained.

The head of the Ministry of Defence noted that to minimize risks for investors and enhance the attractiveness of joint ventures in Ukraine, the development of Defence City is underway. «This is a special regime for the development of Ukraine’s defence industry, which includes tax incentives, simplification of customs procedures, a mechanism for relocating productions to safer regions, expansion of state financial support, and opportunities for export and integration into global chains», – Shmyhal noted.
