The SBI is conducting searches at the residence of the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Valeriy Kondratyuk

The State Bureau of Investigation came with a search to the home of Lieutenant General Valeriy Kondratyuk, the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

This was reported by «Babel» with reference to sources.

According to the publication’s sources, at the time of the searches, only Kondratyuk’s wife was present in the apartment.

It is currently unknown in the context of which case the investigative actions are being conducted.

In 2020-2021, Kondratyuk served as the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine; in 2016-2019, he was the deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine; prior to that, he worked as the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and even earlier, he led the Counterintelligence Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.
