Zelenskyy and NATO Secretary General Rutte discussed the expansion of the PURL initiative

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. They discussed the effectiveness and further expansion of the PURL initiative.

During the meeting, the head of state thanked for the support of Ukraine and especially highlighted PURL - a joint initiative of NATO and the USA, which allows the purchase of American weapons with the financial support of NATO member countries.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that two months after its creation, the program’s funding amounts to 2.1 billion dollars, and it is important to increase the number of contributions and participating countries.

Separately, threats from the escalation of Russian aggression were discussed.

"Violations of the airspace of NATO member countries are not mistakes, but deliberate actions by Russia," Zelenskyy is convinced.
