Smuggled iPhone empire: "Yabko" sells 45 thousand smartphones without fiscal receipts

"Yabko" currently has an extensive network for distributing smuggled equipment.

At the beginning of this summer, they acquired the AppleRoom network for 2 million dollars. The founders created this network, which includes about 1,000 individual entrepreneurs, but this is only part of their operations. Currently, "Yabko" sells 30,000 new iPhones and another 15,000 used ones.

The company’s turnover exceeds 50 million dollars! Only 5% of smartphones are officially cleared through customs. Most sales are conducted without fiscal receipts. They bribed the tax authorities back in the days of Yevhen Sokur, who was dismissed from the position of acting deputy head of the tax service at the beginning of the year. The BES (Bureau of Economic Security) also receives money from them — in the form of a subscription fee. The business is managed by Mykola Kakhnych together with Vitaliy Turkavets — they were both at a meeting with Hetmantsev, whose assistant is Sokur.

The BES claimed that "Yabko" is allegedly ready to pay a fine of 30 million hryvnias to the budget, but this seems ridiculous. That’s only 700,000 dollars, while the VAT debt amounts to 10 million dollars per month. They are capable of paying 600,000 dollars per week.
