During the evacuation of wounded comrades, Ruslan "Khabib" Zahurskyi, an ultra of "Karpaty" and a military serviceman, was killed

A fan of the football club “Karpaty”, warrior Ruslan Zahurskyi with the callsign Khabib, has been killed on the front line.

This was reported by the press service of FC “Karpaty”.

Ruslan was born on July 4, 1998, in Lviv. He studied at School No. 87, later at the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Food Technologies, and at the MAUP in the Department of Law. From a young age, he was active and versatile: he practiced judo, MMA, motorsports, and played the piano. At the age of 17, he started attending matches of his beloved “Karpaty” and remained loyal to the club forever.

From the first days of the full-scale war, Ruslan voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade. He rose from a soldier to a junior lieutenant, fighting on the Zaporizhzhya, South-Slobozhanskyi, and Donetsk fronts. For his courage, he was repeatedly honored with state awards.

On September 30, 2025, while evacuating wounded comrades, Khabib heroically lost his life.

“Eternal memory to the warrior, fan, friend — a true Lion in spirit,” stated FC Karpaty.

The farewell to Ruslan “Khabib” Zahurskyi will take place:

• 05.10 at 19:00 – memorial service at the Church of Saints Volodymyr and Olha, Vynnyky, Zhupan Street, 4a;
• 06.10 at 09:00 – prayer at the Church of Saints Volodymyr and Olha, Vynnyky, Zhupan Street, 4a, and formation of the procession to the Garrison Church of Peter and Paul;
• 06.10 at 09:30 – farewell at Independence Park near the Fallen Heroes Stele, Vynnyky;
• 06.10 at 11:00 – farewell at the Garrison Church of Peter and Paul, Lviv.
