Ukrainian law enforcement officers are conducting searches at Pochayiv Lavra. The case may be related to the "Church of All Saints."

This was reported by the local publication "20 Minutes".

The searches are being conducted by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the National Police.

At the same time, "20 Minutes" reports that the searches are taking place on the territory of the "Church of All Saints," which is located at a cemetery.

According to the publication, the police and SSU are allegedly looking for documents related to the illegal appropriation of the church building by the UOC MP, which is a cultural heritage site. It is likely about the fact that in 2018, clergymen may have illegally registered ownership and thus fraudulently seized the property of the architectural monument.

The Church of All Saints, also known as the All Saints Chapel, is designed in the late Baroque style and is a cultural heritage site of national significance.

Thanks to the efforts of the founder Mykola Potocki, in 1773, Pope Clement XIV crowned the Pochayiv Icon of the Mother of God, including it among the miraculous shrines. The celebrations took place near the Pochayiv Monastery, and between 1773 and 1775, a chapel in the late Baroque style was built to commemorate this event.

The church is designed in the form of a rotunda with a rectangular vestibule, it is single-domed and decorated with stucco.

Next to the church is an active historical monastic cemetery from the late 18th to the 20th centuries.
