In Kryvyi Rih, a teenager shot himself in the head - Media

In Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region), a horrific incident occurred. A 16-year-old teenager was playing with a pistol and shot himself in the head.

This was reported by local media.

It is noted that the incident took place late in the evening on October 7 in the Metalurhiinyi district.

"A neighbor heard the shot and called the emergency services. According to our information, the family is dysfunctional. Law enforcement officers are investigating the case as an unfortunate domestic accident under Part 3 of Article 15 and Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the report states.

Currently, the boy is in intensive care at a hospital in Dnipro in critical condition. He has a firearm injury to the brain. It is known that the teenager is the eldest in a large family. The parents were not at home at the time of the tragedy, and the weapon was kept in a drawer.

Information about this was also confirmed by the spokesperson of the Kryvyi Rih district police, Angelina Kradozhon, in a comment to Suspilne. There has been no official statement from the police yet.
