Russian troops have once again struck an energy facility in the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region.

This was reported by Chernihiv Regional State Administration and Telegram channel "Chernihivoblenergo".

"Once again, Nizhyn district is under attack. At night, Russian occupiers targeted an energy facility," stated "Chernihivoblenergo".

It is reported that energy workers are already working on restoring the damaged facilities.

As clarified by the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, over the past day, Russians conducted massive drone attacks on civilian infrastructure in Chernihiv region in several waves.

In particular, in the Nizhyn district, a locomotive and railway infrastructure were damaged. In the evening, a worker of "Ukrzaliznytsia" sustained shrapnel injuries from a drone explosion while performing repair work. He was hospitalized.

Also, at night in the Nizhyn district, a strike drone attacked an energy infrastructure facility, which led to emergency power outages for some subscribers in several settlements of the district. Another infrastructure facility was also damaged. Rescuers promptly extinguished the fires caused by the strikes.

Currently, restoration work on energy network facilities is ongoing. Scheduled hourly power outages are in effect in the region. In the Nizhyn district, these partially overlap with emergency outages. Under favorable conditions, energy workers will increase the duration of periods without power cuts.
