Russian troops are concentrating forces and equipment in the southern part of the Pokrovsk-Myrnograd agglomeration; however, no active assault actions or increased pressure on the positions of Ukrainian defenders have been recorded.

This was reported by Serhiy Okishev, the spokesperson of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces, on "Hromadske Radio".

According to him, the enemy is currently mostly attempting to infiltrate through the combat formations of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. In response, Ukrainian paratroopers are deploying additional forces and resources to minimize the consequences of such actions.

"Attempts by the enemy to advance in various sectors of the Pokrovska agglomeration defence line are being blocked. The search and destruction of enemy groups that have managed to penetrate the combat formations of our units are also organized. However, we cannot talk about any increase in the activity of enemy assaults at the moment," emphasized the spokesperson of the 7th Air Assault Corps.

Russian troops are attempting to infiltrate the flanks, avoiding direct engagements with Ukrainian units. Simultaneously, the enemy is striking the flanks to disrupt the logistics of the Defence Forces. In response, the Ukrainian military is destroying the enemy’s logistics and doing everything possible to mitigate the impact of such attacks.

Okishev also confirmed information about the redeployment of Russian units from Pokrovske to the Novopavlivka direction, which has been ongoing for the past month. At the same time, new combat-ready forces have arrived to replace the withdrawn units.

Furthermore, according to him, the enemy has begun to use tactical aviation more actively in the Pokrovske direction: the average number of airstrikes on the agglomeration has tripled.
