Shooting in Kyiv: police detain man who opened fire in bar
The capital’s police detained a man who opened fire in a bar in Novopecherski Lypky. He has been notified of suspicion and faces up to seven years in prison.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of Police in Kyiv.
Law enforcement officers reported that the incident occurred last weekend in one of the establishments in the Pechersk district.
Due to a girl, visitors from two different groups started a fight, after which one of the men pulled out a weapon and fired several shots at his opponent. There were no casualties as a result of the shooting.
The capital’s police located and detained the shooter - he turned out to be a 30-year-old resident of Kyiv.
During a search of the suspect’s residence, law enforcement officers seized a traumatic pistol and ammunition for it.
The detainee has been notified of suspicion of committing hooliganism with the use of a weapon. The penalty under the article provides for imprisonment for up to seven years.
