Explosions were heard in Nizhyn: residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged

The city of Nizhyn has once again become a target for enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. In the evening of October 15, 2025, during an air raid warning, explosions were heard in the city.

According to reports from local residents and correspondents working on the scene, hits on civilian infrastructure have been recorded:

• A drone hit a building where a store and a branch of the postal operator "Nova Poshta" are located.

• Damage to two residential buildings has also been confirmed.

Information on casualties or injuries is currently being clarified.

It is worth noting that Nizhyn has recently been regularly subjected to attacks by strike drones, primarily targeting critical and civilian infrastructure, including railway hubs and energy facilities.

All relevant services are working at the impact sites. Local authorities urge citizens to remain in shelters until the air raid warning is lifted and not to spread photos or videos from the impact sites.
