Providing Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles has been "officially put on pause," — MP Chernyev

The issue of providing Ukraine with American Tomahawk cruise missiles has been officially put on pause.

This was reported by Member of Parliament Yehor Chernyev, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence, and Intelligence.

The MP did not specify at whose level this decision was made or the specific reasons that led to the suspension of consideration of this issue.

"The issue regarding «Tomahawks» has been officially put on pause. I am not providing details at this time," — stated Yehor Chernyev.

Previously, the media and expert circles discussed the possibility of transferring these long-range missiles to Ukraine, which could significantly expand the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defence Forces to strike military targets deep in the enemy’s rear.
