Warsaw released a suspect in the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines
The decision of the Polish court to refuse the extradition of a Ukrainian national, suspected by Germany of sabotaging the Nord Stream pipelines, has sparked intense disputes between the foreign affairs ministers of Hungary and Poland.
This is reported by Szijjarto on the social network X, who retweeted the publication of the Polish Prime Minister.
The foreign ministers of Hungary and Poland, Péter Szijjártó and Radosław Sikorski, engaged in a public debate following Warsaw’s decision not to extradite to Germany the Ukrainian whom Berlin suspects of sabotage on the Nord Stream pipelines.
Szijjártó, commenting on the situation on the social network X, retweeted the post of the Polish Prime Minister about the release of the suspect, calling this decision "scandalous." He stated that Poland’s actions create a dangerous precedent in Europe:
"According to Poland, if you do not like certain infrastructure in Europe, you can blow it up. They have essentially given permission for terrorist attacks. Poland not only released but also glorifies a terrorist - this is what the rule of law in Europe has come to."
In response, Sikorski wrote:
"No, Péter. When a foreign aggressor bombs your country, you can legitimately retaliate by sabotaging the aggressor’s ability to finance the war. This is called self-defence."
