Russia is actively preparing for a possible military conflict with NATO countries.
This was stated by the Deputy Head of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi, during the forum "Energy that Keeps Ukraine Going".
According to Skibitskyi, this is not only an analytical assessment by Ukrainian intelligence but also a fact confirmed by official documents.
"The Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, when presenting Russia’s armament concept until 2036 in June, explicitly stated: one of the main tasks is to prepare the Russian armed forces for waging war with NATO by 2030," said the representative of the DIU.
He also emphasized that despite the Kremlin’s attempts to hide the real state of affairs, the Russian economy is already in recession. At the same time, more than 40% of Russia’s federal budget is allocated to financing the war.
