The DIU showed a video of the elimination of the son of Russian Lieutenant General Marzoev near Zaporizhzhya

The Defence Forces of Ukraine have released a video of a strike that "eliminated" the son of Russian Lieutenant General Vasyl Marzoev and other occupiers. The attack was carried out in the area of the village of Plavni in the Vasylivka district of Zaporizhzhya region.

A guided aerial bomb (GAB) hit the facility where the invaders were located. Footage of the successful operation was shared by the press service of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence on their YouTube channel.

The position of the Russian occupation forces’ drone operators near the village of Plavni was detected on October 15 by fighters of the combined UAV unit of the Active Operations Department of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine during aerial reconnaissance.

They transmitted the target’s coordinates, after which allied units attacked the enemy position with a guided aerial bomb.

"At the moment of the strike, Moscowite Lieutenant Vasyl Marzoev, platoon commander of the 108th Parachute Regiment of the 7th Airborne Assault Division of the Russian occupation army, was at the position," the intelligence officers noted.

This invader is the son of Lieutenant General Arkady Marzoev, commander of the 18th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, who is implicated in committing war crimes against Ukrainian civilians in Kherson.

"The armed struggle continues! Glory to Ukraine!" wrote the press service of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence.

It should be added that the father of the eliminated individual, Arkady Marzoev, participated in the preparation and execution of a massive strike on Kherson, which resulted in the deaths of 24 civilians. He is suspected by the Security Service of Ukraine under several articles of the Criminal Code:

• Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 437 – planning, preparation, initiation, and conduct of an aggressive war by a group of persons;
• Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 438 – violation of the laws and customs of war by a group of persons.
