The enemy attacked the energy system of Chernihiv and Donetsk regions: Some subscribers are without electricity

Russian troops attacked the energy infrastructure of Chernihiv and Donetsk regions, leaving some settlements without electricity.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy and "Ukrenergo".

"The enemy attacked the energy infrastructure of Chernihiv and Donetsk regions. Energy workers are working continuously to restore electricity supply to consumers," the Ministry of Energy noted.

It is reported that today, hourly blackout schedules will be in effect in several regions of Ukraine from 08:00 to 22:00.

Current schedules are posted on the official resources of regional distribution system operators. For updates on changes in electricity supply, check the pages of your regional energy company. Additionally, in some regions, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers are planned from 07:00 to 22:00.

Electricity consumption remains at a high level. Today, October 28, as of 6:30, it was 1.8% higher than at the same time the previous day – on Monday. The reason is cloudy weather in most regions, which reduces the efficiency of household solar power plants.

Yesterday, October 27, the daily peak consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 3.2% higher than the peak of the previous working day – on Friday, October 24. The reason is the application of a smaller volume of consumption restriction measures.

Furthermore, due to unfavorable weather conditions, 30 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region remained without power as of this morning. Emergency restoration work in the region is ongoing. Power restoration for affected consumers is expected by the end of the current day.
