Honcharenko: Zelenskyy usurped power in Odesa without elections

«Power in Odesa handed over to Zelenskyy without elections». MP Honcharenko condemns the president from the Verkhovna Rada tribune for sidelining Trukhanov.

He emphasized that in the last local elections in Odesa in 2020, the candidate from the «Servant of the People» party received only 9%, while the «Servant of the People» party itself secured 15% of the seats in the city council.

«Today, all power in Odesa, without elections or democratic procedures, simply by Zelenskyy’s decision, has ended up in the hands of his appointees. This happened to Odesa today. Tomorrow, it could happen to Dnipro, Lviv, Kyiv, or any other city in Ukraine», Honcharenko stated.

«Our king Volodymyr the First no longer knows what additional powers to seize for himself. He seeks to appoint leaders in every city, to control everything, down to the operation of housing maintenance offices. This is not normal, this is not the European path. This is the destruction of Magdeburg Law», the people’s deputy noted.
