On October 30, at the "Velyka Palad – Nagyhodos" checkpoint, a man driving a Toyota Avensis rammed through the barriers, hit a border guard (the injured was hospitalized without fractures), and instantly crossed the border into Hungary. The incident lasted approximately six seconds, and there is a video recording.

The driver was Eduard Pukanyts, born in 1987, a native of the village of Velyka Bakta, a lawyer before mobilization, drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 23, 2025, and serving in the 355th Training Mechanized Regiment (military unit A-3211).
