Situation on the front line: Ukrainian defenders repelled over 80 Russian attacks

As of 16:00 on Sunday, November 2, 95 combat engagements have occurred on the front since the beginning of the day.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Border settlements, including Zarichchya and Halahanivka in Chernihiv region, as well as Bila Bereza and Khliborob in Sumy region, suffered from artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation.

In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has conducted five airstrikes, dropping a total of 11 guided aerial bombs and carrying out 87 artillery attacks, including two with multiple rocket launch systems. Ukrainian units are conducting strike-and-search operations, and the enemy is sustaining losses.

In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian soldiers stopped nine enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Odradne, Kamyanka, and Dvorichanske. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor carried out assault actions seven times in the area of Stepova Novoselivka and towards Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, and Pishchane.

In the Lyman direction, the occupying army attacked twice towards the settlement of Koroviy Yar.

In the Slovyansk direction, Defence Forces repelled seven enemy attacks near Serebryanka, Dronivka, Fedorivka, and towards Siversk.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attempted to advance near the settlement of Chasiv Yar.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, in the areas of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka, our soldiers stopped ten offensive actions by the enemy.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers made 38 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Nikanorivka, Maiak, Myrnohrad, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Razyne, Mykolaivka, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Horikhove, Dachne, and Filiia. Defense Forces are holding back the enemy’s pressure and have already stopped 36 attacks, conducting active operations and achieving certain successes—on some sections, our units have advanced up to 0.4 kilometers.

Today, in the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked 18 times in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Sichneve, Novoselivka, Vorone, Sosnivka, Verbove, Oleksiivka, Rybne, Yehorivka, and Krasnohirka. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Hulyaipole direction, one combat engagement was recorded in the area of Okhotnyche.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy has not conducted any offensive actions at this time.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled an enemy attack towards the Antonivka Bridge. In other directions of the front, the situation has not undergone significant changes.
