Nuclear safety in Ukraine remains extremely unstable following strikes by the Russian Federation.
This was reported by IAEA.
"Nuclear safety in Ukraine remains extremely unstable during the military conflict. Two operating nuclear power plants - Khmelnytskyi and Rivne - were forced to reduce electricity production following a nighttime attack on an electrical substation critical to nuclear safety," the IAEA stated.
Director General Rafael Grossi once again emphasized the need for restraint to maintain nuclear safety and prevent an accident with serious radiological consequences.
