Hetmantsev: Ukraine is in crisis due to corrupt officials, but the opposition has no right to block the podium and jeopardize the budget
At the moment, Ukraine is experiencing a deep political crisis caused by corruption scandals and the actions of corrupt officials in the country’s leadership.
This was stated today from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada and on his page on Facebook by the People’s Deputy from "Servant of the People," Danylo Hetmantsev.
Who is responsible for the crisis?
According to him, Ukraine is currently in, perhaps, the most acute political crisis since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
"The reason for this is the looters in power who, instead of serving the people, have engaged in systemic corruption. The cleansing of the authorities is ongoing and will continue – this is a matter of honor. Decisions are being made promptly," he emphasized.
At the same time, Hetmantsev criticized the opposition for blocking the Verkhovna Rada rostrum.
"We have no right to conflicts or blocking the rostrum. We cannot jeopardize the budget, the IMF program, or macro-financial support from the EU. We cannot risk the funding of the army. Today, we have no right to political crises or settling scores in parliament.
We have no right to be politickers – the country needs statesmen. The stakes are extraordinarily high. This is not about ratings or someone’s political future. Today, the fate of Ukraine is being decided. All of us – the healthy part of the government and the opposition – must unite our efforts to save the country," he added.
