A referendum on peace is a blow to stability: "Servant of the People" opposes shifting responsibility to the public
The decision to hold a referendum on peace issues will not contribute to political stability in the country.
This was stated by one of the people’s deputies from "Servant of the People."
"The situation is not simple, but I believe that decisions should be made by politicians. We should not shift the responsibility onto the shoulders of the Ukrainian people. This will not add to our political stability... At the same time, everyone understands that such a vote will be one of the most difficult steps in life. This is a decision for a lifetime," the parliamentarian noted.
The MP emphasized that the reaction to the negotiations within the "Servant of the People" faction remains restrained.
"Why? Because everyone is waiting for explanations from the President. Pay attention: not instructions on how to vote, but more information. Yes, there are people who say, ’Of course, we must vote for peace!’ But I cannot say that this is the general mood. People are tense and waiting," he added.
Another colleague from his faction believes that no one from "Servant of the People" will agree to the surrender of territories.
"Everyone will carefully study every word and demand as much information as possible. For example, I will not vote for certain things, even if it creates problems for me with the country’s leadership.
Trump said there that he would come to Ukraine and speak in the Verkhovna Rada if it depends on signing the agreement? Well, let him come, and then we’ll see," he concluded.
