"Stop summoning us for interrogations": Vasylevska-Smahlyuk explained why MPs are boycotting "IMF laws" due to pressure from NABU
People’s deputies refuse to vote for bills related to obligations to the IMF due to mass summons for interrogations at NABU, reported People’s Deputy Vasylevska-Smahlyuk (Servant of the People faction).
According to her information, about 50 deputies have been summoned for interrogations as witnesses.
«People’s deputies in a number of cases do not support the obligations taken on by the government through voting. One of the reasons they mention is pressure, particularly from NABU. This issue was discussed at a meeting of our faction, and there were requests to NABU to stop the summons for interrogations. I heard that another 50 deputies have been summoned as witnesses in one case. Additionally, we are lifelong politically exposed persons, subject to financial monitoring. We feel pressure, due to which we suffer, and therefore do not vote for unpopular decisions until this pressure decreases», — noted Vasylevska-Smahlyuk.
