The NBU is withdrawing banknotes of 1, 2, 5, and 10 hryvnias from circulation: payments with them will be discontinued
Banknotes of 1, 2, 5, and 10 hryvnias will no longer be accepted for payments starting March 2, - NBU.
These banknotes will be replaced with corresponding coins and withdrawn from cash circulation. They will not be usable for cash payments, and retail chains, service sector enterprises, banks, and financial institutions will not accept them for payment of goods, services, or conducting payment transactions.
Citizens will have sufficient time to exchange their existing banknotes of 1, 2, 5, and 10 hryvnias for coins. This can be done
without any restrictions and without any fees for such an exchange.
