Mariupol defender Myroslav Chornomor, after nearly four years in captivity, learned that his wife had left him and appropriated 700 thousand hryvnias
Marine Myroslav Chornomor, defender of Mariupol who spent nearly four years in Russian captivity, learned after his release that his wife had left him.
The last time they met was on February 14, 2022, in Mariupol. While in captivity, they corresponded for some time, but from September 2024, he stopped receiving messages from her.
«I sent letters and waited for a response. I stayed in touch until the very end. The last time I congratulated her on the New Year 2025 — and no reaction. When I returned, she called only on the third day», — the marine recounts.
According to the fighter, after returning, he decided to end these relations.
«I filed for divorce. I just need to put a period on this matter and plan how to live further».
In addition, it turned out that the wife had transferred his state payments to herself and for about half a year received the full financial support of her husband — about 125 thousand hryvnias per month. The total amount exceeds 700 thousand hryvnias.
«I was abandoned and part of my money was appropriated. Friends advise: “Go to court, demand a refund”. But I don’t see the point in spending time on this», — the marine noted.
