Situation on the front: Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked 48 times, the most on the Huliaipole direction

Since the beginning of the day, the aggressor has already carried out 48 attacks.

This is reported in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s summary regarding the situation on the front line as of 16:00 on March 9.

Strikes on Ukrainian territory

Shelling of border areas continues. Today, in the Sumy region, the affected settlements were: Kucherivka, Shalyhine, Iskryskivshchyna, Ryzhivka, Ulanove, Budky, Khodyne. In the Chernihiv region: Yasna Poliana, Orlynivka, Kostobobriv, Senkivka.

Situation in the north

On the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, the enemy conducted 65 shellings of settlements and our troops’ positions, two of them using MLRS.

Situation in Kharkiv region

On the Southern-Slobozhanskyi axis, the enemy attacked once in the direction of the settlement of Zybyne.

On the Kupyansk axis, the enemy advanced four times towards Petropavlivka and Novoplatonivka.

Fighting in the East

On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian warriors repelled one attempt by the occupiers to advance towards Drobysheve.

On the Slovyansk axis, the enemy tried three times to advance towards our troops’ positions in the direction of Ray-Oleksandrivka and Zakitne. Two attacks are ongoing.

On the Kramatorsk axis, no active offensive actions by the enemy were recorded.

On the Kostyantynivka axis, the occupiers conducted 11 offensive actions near Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Sofiyivka, and Novopavlivka. Two battles are ongoing.

On the Pokrovsk axis, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has tried 11 times to dislodge our warriors from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, and Novopavlivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

Combat actions in the South

On the Oleksandrivka axis, the enemy advanced twice towards Ternove and Novohryhorivka. One attack is ongoing. In addition, Ivanivka and Pokrovsk were hit by airstrikes.

On the Huliaipole axis, there were 13 attacks in the area of Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Zarichne, Varvarivka, Luhivske, and Myrne. The enemy inflicted airstrikes in the areas of Vozdvyzhivka, Novoselivka, Charivne, and Dolynka. Two combat engagements are ongoing.

On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy attacked in the direction of Shcherbakiv and Pavlivka. The area of Blakytne was hit by an airstrike.

On the Dniprovskyi axis, no enemy attempts to improve their position were recorded.

On other axes, there are no significant changes in the situation yet. No enemy advances are recorded.

"Ukrainian troops are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear. Join the Defence Forces! The fight continues!" — emphasized the General Staff.
