Million-dollar schemes in "Ukroboronprom": NABU announces suspicion to the top executive of the concern and his accomplices

Corruption scheme in «Ukroboronprom»: group suspected of embezzling over 32 million UAH and attempting to seize another 19 million UAH.

According to NABU and SAPO, in 2014–2019, funds from state enterprises of the defence concern were withdrawn through fictitious foreign intermediaries. Companies registered in the UK and Czech Republic were formally intermediaries in foreign economic contracts, but in reality provided no services.

For these «services», they were transferred over $560 thousand and almost €670 thousand. The funds passed through accounts of fictitious firms and were distributed among the scheme participants.

Among the suspects — former director of a state enterprise (now deputy CEO of JSC «Ukrainian Defence Industry»), former advisor to the director of the enterprise-special exporter, and beneficiary of a private company.
