Monobank scandal: Gorokhovsky called a client a "collaborator" due to a photo with the Slovenian flag

Monobank refused service to a client, mistaking the Slovenian flag in the background for the Russian one. Gorokhovsky called the girl a "collaborator."

Co-founder of the bank Oleg Gorokhovsky posted a photo of the girl on social media with an ironic caption: «A client came for video verification with a question why her account was blocked. They said, because she has an unwashed head».

«Fans of the Russian world in Ukraine will have no protection of personal data. After 12 years of war, we cannot guarantee data protection to collaborators», — Gorokhovsky wrote later.

The girl explained that it was the flag of Slovenia, and the photo was taken not in her room, but in her Slovenian friend’s apartment (she now lives in Germany).

She also reported that her entire family is now fighting on the front for Ukraine.

On social media, Gorokhovsky was criticized for disclosing the client’s personal data and publicly mocking her.
