Due to the fuel spill from Ukraine into the Dnister, Moldova has declared an ecological emergency.

The country’s Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu reported this.

According to him, the fuel leak into the river continues near the Dnister HPP in Ukraine’s Chernivtsi region, threatening Moldova’s water supply.

In connection with this, the authorities have temporarily suspended the water supply from the Dnister in a number of districts.
