“Ukrainian experience saves the West”: Sybiha told how the Armed Forces of Ukraine help partners shoot down Iranian drones in the Middle East
The situation in the Middle East shows how much the world needs Ukraine, stated Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.
In an interview with the Chilean publication La Tercera, Andriy Sybiha emphasized that the situation in the Middle East demonstrates how much the world needs Ukraine’s competencies, combat experience, and technologies.
Moreover, in response to a question about expectations regarding a new round of peace negotiations, Sybiha said:
– In principle, we could expect a new round of negotiations, and it was agreed that it would take place last week. But due to this escalation around Iran or Russia, it was postponed. Our team is working on setting a new date.
He emphasized that Ukraine seeks “to contribute to the proper end of the escalation or de-escalation situation in the Middle East, so for us this is a challenge regarding our stocks, in terms of rocket availability, because our partners are using them”.
Sybiha believes, “if we help with our interceptors, with our drones, this means that they (our partners, – Ed.) will be able to save on using very expensive missiles. And now we are helping with this. Practically, our teams are working in specific countries, cooperating with partners, using our experience and helping to combat the Iranian attack”.
– And, of course, for example, we need to prevent Russia from using this situation to its advantage, – noted Sybiha.
