NBU against Monobank: Andriy Pyshnyi announced an inspection of the bank due to possible disclosure of banking secrecy
The NBU is investigating the incident with a Monobank client and checking whether there was a violation of legislation regarding the disclosure of banking secrecy. As NBU Governor Andriy Pyshnyi reported in the Verkhovna Rada, after the inspection, "they may open an administrative proceeding against the bank and apply measures of influence".

The regulator received a package of documents from the bank for analysis. Next, the NBU will prepare a report assessing the bank’s actions, including compliance with legislation, internal procedures, and requirements for banking secrecy. The Banking Supervision Committee will decide whether to open a case, and if it is launched, the decision on sanctions must be made "within six months".
