Podolyak: Political negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine have been suspended due to escalation in the Middle East
Political negotiations to end the war in Ukraine are currently suspended due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. Meanwhile, work on prisoner exchanges continues in the normal mode.
Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak stated this on a TV broadcast.
According to the OP advisor, the situation on the international arena directly affects the diplomatic process in Ukraine. As long as the active phase of the war in the Middle East continues, the political part of the negotiations will not budge.
"The politico-military part of the negotiations is on pause, while the humanitarian part continues to operate. The President and Budanov announced the possibilities of continuing prisoner exchanges, and accordingly, this part of the work continues," - Podolyak noted.
Podolyak emphasized that Russia’s support for Iran has led to irreversible changes in the perception of Moscow by Middle Eastern countries. The attitude towards the aggressor has evolved from neutral to openly negative.
At the same time, Ukraine’s subjectivity on the international arena has significantly increased, creating a new context for future diplomatic efforts.
