"“Eternally drunk and don’t work”: DIU interception exposes conflicts between Russians and Dagestanis in the ranks of the occupiers

Russian occupiers treat their «colleagues» representing other ethnic groups with contempt and at the same time fear them. This is confirmed by a recently intercepted DIU MO conversation between two invaders with call signs «Kuban» and «Reaper».

The latter complained to his interlocutor about «dags» – that’s what he called the Dagestanis who occupied the neighboring position. The corresponding recording was published on YouTube by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

«Kuban», this is «Reaper»! Reporting, a little further from us, about 500 meters, from... where the «Concrete» position is now located, the «dags» live – eternally drunk, don’t work, they, I think, generally... The company is sitting, idling», – the serviceman of the aggressor state complained.

Ukrainian intelligence officers noted that this conversation illustrates attitudes toward service in the Russian Armed Forces among different ethnic groups, as well as the mutual attitudes of the occupiers toward each other.

«The moral decay of the Russian army is intensifying... Commanders fear representatives of other peoples, as they may incite a mutiny or complain «upwards» – to their regional elites. In such cases, unit leaders risk facing serious problems, and the personnel themselves often do not recognize their authority», – commented on what was heard in the interception by DIU representatives.
