Inflation is gaining momentum: Ukrstat recorded price growth to 7.9%

The State Statistics Service reported an acceleration of inflation in Ukraine. Fuel, alcohol, communication services, and food products have significantly increased in price.

According to the State Statistics Service, in March 2026, inflation in Ukraine rose: in monthly terms (compared to February) — from 1% to 1.7%, and in annual terms — from 7.6% to 7.9%.

This is stated in the agency’s message.

The most noticeable price increase in annual terms was recorded for alcohol and tobacco products (up 15.7%), communication services (up 14.9%), education (up 14.4%), and transport (up 13.4%), with fuel prices standing out particularly — up by 23.4%.

According to the State Statistics Service calculations, food product prices rose by 9.5%.
