Ukraine is entering a "difficult period": Zelenskyy predicts peak pressure from the RF and diplomatic challenges until September
Zelenskyy warned that by September Ukraine will find itself in a difficult period under pressure from Russia on the front and the US in negotiations, with the States possibly leaving the talks as early as August.
«If Russia chooses de-escalation, then a trilateral meeting will take place. They will try to organize it in April, May or June. These are key months for them. By September it will be difficult for us. The spring-summer period will turn out to be difficult — politically and diplomatically. Pressure on Ukraine may intensify, including on the battlefield», — Zelenskyy stated in an interview with journalists.
He believes that in the absence of results, this pressure will force the US to leave the negotiations before the congressional elections.
«In my opinion, the Americans will not give additional time for dialogue. From summer, the US will focus even more on internal processes — elections. They have a conditional domestic political deadline — approximately August», — Zelenskyy noted.
According to him, it is then that Russia may intensify its actions.
