Parliamentary luxury during the war: people’s deputies spent more than 100 million hryvnias on premium cars in 2025
Bihus.Info journalists analyzed the electronic declarations of Ukrainian people’s deputies for 2025 and found out that a number of people’s representatives updated their car fleets. According to the journalists’ calculations, last year they spent at least 100 million hryvnias on premium cars.
This is stated in the Bihus.Info story.
For example, the head of the “Trust” parliamentary group, Oleh Kulinich, began using a luxury Mercedes-Benz V300D 2025 model year. The car is registered to the company LLC “Octan”, owned by Kulinich himself. According to the declaration, the Mercedes cost over 5.4 million hryvnias.
Kulinich’s colleague from “Trust”, Oleksandr Sukhov, declared his wife’s recent purchase – a BMW X5 2025 model year for over 4.7 million hryvnias. This amount exceeds the entire annual income of the Sukhovs. In a comment to journalists, Sukhov himself said that his wife sold her previous car, an apartment inherited from her father, and used her own savings. He added that he does not personally use his wife’s car but drives a Skoda Octavia 2025 model year.
Meanwhile, Borys Prykhodko’s car fleet from the same “Trust” was replenished with as many as two cars: a Lexus LX 600 2023 model year and a Porsche Panamera 2024 model year. The MP’s declaration states that his wife bought the Lexus for over 2.6 million hryvnias (approximately 60,000 dollars), but in 2023, the same car was sold for 138,000 dollars. The MP explained the more than twofold price drop by simple depreciation and stated that an appraisal was conducted before the purchase. The MP justified the purchase of the new Lexus by the need to work with voters: “I am a majoritarian; to reach the most remote corners of my district. If you’ve already mentioned the Porsche, which definitely won’t go there. The need arose to have a family car that can go anywhere in my district after winter”.
Serhiy Labazyuk and Petro Yurchyshyn from “For the Future” switched to a Range Rover 2025 model year. Currently, such cars are sold for about 8 million hryvnias. The car, which Labazyuk likely uses, was registered to his company already in 2026, so it is not yet in the declaration. Yurchyshyn, on the other hand, declared the lease of a fresh Range Rover, also registered to a family company. In a comment to journalists, the MP noted that the company now belongs to his wife, and he allegedly pays rent of 69,000 UAH per month.
An Audi Q8 2024 model year also appeared in the declaration of “Servant of the People” member Volodymyr Hevko. The market value of such a car is over 4 million hryvnias, and it is registered to LLC “Polkan”, a co-owner of which is the MP’s political ally Yuriy Yaremchuk. The man represents “Servant of the People” in the Ternopil Regional Council. In a comment to Bihus.Info, Hevko stated that he has an official lease agreement but could not recall the cost.
Yuriy Kisyel, who recently received suspicion from NABU in the envelopes-for-votes case, indicated in his declaration two Lexus 2024 model year cars – LM 350H and ES 300H. Both are registered to family companies. Collectively, the family’s car fleet was updated last year by approximately 160,000-200,000 dollars.
Vadym Stolar also significantly updated his car fleet. Last year, his cohabitant acquired a Mercedes-Benz G 580 2025 model year for 8.8 million hryvnias. The MP himself switched to a minivan Lexus LM350H 2025 model year. Such a car currently costs from 5 million hryvnias. In addition, Stolar has five more cars at his disposal.
“Batkivshchyna” MP Valeriy Dubil began using an Audi Q7 2024 model year car. The car is registered to his son’s company. The cost of such a car is over 3.6 million hryvnias.
Dubil’s colleague Serhiy Taruta switched to an electric BMW I7 xDrive60 2024 model year. The MP registered the car in his own name and indicated a cost of over 4.8 million hryvnias. Taruta explained the purchase by saying that the car is safe and electric, so the MP will be able to charge it at home from solar panels “without harming the environment”.
We remind you that a few weeks ago, the media again raised the topic of a possible parliamentary crisis. This happened after a series of statements by influential deputies about allegedly several dozen colleagues who would like to resign. The main reasons were allegedly fatigue, low official salary, and pressure from anti-corruption agencies.
