The theft of 50 million at Trypilska TPP: property and elite cars of key figure Andriy Teslenko have been arrested

Attorney General Ruslan Kravchenko recently announced the exposure of a scheme to misappropriate over 50 million UAH during the repair of the Trypilska TPP – once the largest supplier of electricity to the Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Zhytomyr regions.

According to the investigation, the scheme participants organized a network of controlled companies, submitted coordinated bids in tenders, and inflated prices several times over.

The central figure is 59-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhya Andriy Teslenko – deputy director of LLC «Inventum Ukraine». According to the investigation, he actually managed the activities of ZTEP, «DEMZ-engineering», and DEMZ companies, which were part of the corruption scheme.

His property has been seized: a house of almost 300 sq. m, two land plots, as well as two elite cars – Land Rover Range Rover Sport and ZEEKR 001 (the latter costs from 48 thousand dollars).

«Inventum Ukraine» received non-competitive tenders for the Trypilska TPP, after which it artificially inflated prices for goods and services. The difference was withdrawn in cash through fictitious contracts and «couriers». Over the past year, the company won 50 state tenders worth over 1 billion UAH, and its key clients were «Kyivteploenergo», «Sumyteploenergo», «Centerenergo» and others.

It is worth noting that Teslenko’s daughter Kristina is the owner and director of «DEMZ-engineering», and son Volodymyr – co-owner of DEMZ. The company «Inventum Ukraine» refused to comment on the situation, citing the confidentiality of the pre-trial investigation.
