President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy together with the First Lady Olena Zelenska greeted Ukrainians on Easter. In their address, they emphasized that the strength of Ukrainians lies — in supporting each other, faith, and the common struggle for the future.

The President emphasized that the meanings of Easter help not to lose hope and find light even in difficult times. The address of the head of state was published on his Telegram channel.

Zelenskyy noted that despite all the trials, Ukrainians together managed to go through a difficult period and wait for spring.

«Together we overcame this winter — the most difficult in our history, but one that lost. It lost to us, and the cold retreated ingloriously, and we waited for our spring. And today together we celebrate our Easter», — emphasized the head of state.

«Every year we prepare, collect the Easter basket, paint pysanky, bake paska, decorate our home, plant trees and flowers. And all this is not at all about food or decor, but about a people who desire life to bloom around them. And this is exactly the meaning that Easter is filled with for all of us», — emphasized Olena Zelenska.

Separately, Zelenskyy mentioned thousands of Ukrainians who on the front lines defend the country and their families. He expressed hope that a peaceful Easter will come. The head of state emphasized that for this reason, the struggle has been ongoing for 1509 days.

«Ukrain stands firmly, stubbornly, unshakably, knowing for whom and for what. So that instead of the Fifth Easter during wartime, the first peaceful Easter comes on all our land, for all our people... It is worth fighting for this, and we have been doing so for 1509 days. And on Easter, like never before, our faith is strong. Faith in the victory of peace over war», — noted the President.

The President noted that Ukrainians not only believe in miracles but also create them daily through their actions, courage, and mutual support. He emphasized that unity and faith in each other make evil powerless.

«We sincerely congratulate you on this great bright day. All incredible people, incredible children, unbreakable brave boys and girls who have not forgotten how to believe in good. Our mothers and fathers, all our cities and villages that deserve a peaceful life. To see calm days and nights, the triumph of justice, light, truth, and the victory of peace on all our land. Let it be so, let there be peace and let there be Ukraine», — noted the Zelenskyys.
