Reported on TRC in Viber: saleswoman in Odesa region sentenced for obstructing AFU activities
In the Rozdilnyanskyi district of Odesa region, the court sentenced a woman who transmitted information about TRC operations. She posted messages in a Viber group and warned people about the locations of mobilization activities. The court found her guilty of obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Unified State Register of Court Decisions reports this.
According to the case materials, the accused joined an open Viber group where participants reported on the movements of military personnel and the locations of mobilization teams. The community had about 447 members. She used her own phone and regularly posted messages about the appearance of TRC employees in the village of Vynohradar.
The woman transmitted short messages with locations and descriptions. They indicated the locations of mobile groups, their number, and direction of movement. Other group members used this information to avoid receiving summonses.
During the hearing, the accused fully admitted her guilt. She explained that she works as a salesperson and transmitted information she saw in the village. According to her, she wanted to help acquaintances avoid mobilization and did not realize that it was a crime.
The court also took into account that the woman had no prior convictions, raises two children, and has a positive reference. Her remorse and cooperation with the investigation were separately considered. In addition, she transferred 10 thousand hryvnias to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Taking these circumstances into account, the court sentenced her to five years of imprisonment. At the same time, she was released from serving the sentence with a two-year probation period.
